Large rectangular banner in deep red crushed velvet with gold fringe along three edges (bottom and both sides). The centre bears a large applied or embroidered USSR state emblem rendered in gold, blue, and red — showing the globe, hammer and sickle, wheat wreath, rising sun rays, and red star above. Below the emblem, two lines of Cyrillic text in gold read 'ПОБЕДИТЕЛЮ / В СОЦИАЛИСТИЧЕСКОМ СОРЕВНОВАНИИ' ('To the Winner in Socialist Competition'). The velvet pile shows uneven crushing and light soiling consistent with use and storage; the gold fringe is intact but shows some tangling and minor fraying.
